All are invited to this free event with: an indoor view of the Beacon with over 1000 messages of peace from the

community, Street Memorials art, a preview of the Street Peace Project film, a speak-out, food and lots of kindness.

 Please join us in this celebration of a united neighborhood

The Beacon - Is an outdoor interactive sculpture located in Lansingburgh at 275 5th Ave and 106th St, Troy. Everyone is invited to add a message of peace in the neighborhood, placing it on the sculpture.   Come add your message anytime 10/12-12/10.     

The Memorials - Is an exhibition of street memorial images photographed all in Troy. These photographs show how family and friends rise above tragedy to give tribute to the lives of their loved ones. The exhibit runs 11/2-12/10 at The Fish Market Project Gallery 2952 6th Ave, Troy

About the Street Peace Project:

This community art project originates in my neighborhood of Troy, NY, where we have experienced a lot of violence. Though our neighborhood struggles with grief and fear, there is also a determination to continue on and stay whole which is supported by the Street Peace Project.
